Computer Idiot Technology Services is dedicated to providing practical, affordable solutions that enable its customers to overcome their information technology challenges and achieve their business or personal goals.  In order to effectively deliver services that meet the demands of our clients, we rely on the experience of skilled technicians and instructors and their ongoing commitment to providing practical solutions that satisfy the customer's needs in an efficient and personalized manner.  

TECHNICAL SERVICE:

We provide computer technical services and support for small businesses and home users, speaking in PLAIN English without the "geek-speak", talking with our customers in such a way that makes it pleasant and easy to do business with us. About Computer Idiot  

Based out of Ventura, California, Computer Idiot Technology Services offers computer service and repair, computer training and other technical support for small businesses and home users, delivering help in PLAIN English without the "geek-speak", talking with our customers in such a way that makes it easy and pleasant to do business with us.  Since 1989 we've specialized in applications training (Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, etc.), as well as computer service and repair along with technology consulting and other computer services for small business, government and individuals.  We are also the original creators and publishers of the computer book, "The Original Computer Idiot® PC User's Guide", a beginner's book on basic PC usage, long before the first "DOS for Dummies" book was published... in fact, we believe they followed our lead (ran with our idea) after we introduced the title to IDG Books (Dummies publishers) representatives at a New York computer show in 1990. (We've owned the United States registered trademarks for Computer Idiot® and PC Idiot® since then as well).  

STORE POLICIES  

If you are not 100% satisfied with your merchandise when you receive it, please email us at customerservice@pcidiot.com within 10 business days and we will exchange your item for a similar, same cost item. Computer Idiot will only allow one exchange per order. You will be responsible for the return shipping but Computer Idiot will pay for shipping the exchanged item back to you. We will not ship new exchange merchandise until we receive the items you are exchanging. The returned item must be in original condition (not washed, worn, dirty or damaged) and must be received by Computer Idiot within 30 days from original purchase date. We will not accept returns and/or exchanges after the 30 day period. If you were mistakenly shipped the wrong item or the item is defective, Computer Idiot will reimburse you for the cost of shipping the item back to us as well as the cost of shipping you a replacement.  

SHIPPING

We want to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction even after your order has left our warehouse. To accomplish this, orders are shipped primarily through the U.S. Postal System's Priority Mail Service. Some larger packages as well as Next Day and Second Day packages may ship via UPS. Most orders are processed and leave our warehouse within 2-4 business days of receiving your order. If your order is being sent to a California address it should arrive within 3-5 business days.  Orders being shipped to all other states in the Continental U.S. should arrive within 3-10 business days. If you need your order faster, we also offer Next Day and 2nd Day Delivery. For same day shipping on these faster delivery services, online orders must be received by 10am PST.   If there are any questions regarding your order we will email you within 2 business days. Otherwise your order will ship in the timely manner as previously explained. Please note that you will NOT receive an email confirmation that your order has shipped. If you have any questions regarding the status of your order please email us between 9am and 3pm PST Monday - Friday.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

Sorry, currently we do not ship to or take orders from outside the US.  Out of Stock and Back Orders - Unforeseen demand or manufacturer delays occasionally result in items that are out of stock. Some quantities are limited. We will inform you of any such event and you can then let us know how you would like us to proceed. If back orders are unacceptable, we will cancel the item from your order and refund any payment made.   Returns - If you wish to return an item for any reason, please mail it back to us with the following info:  Order #, Customer Name, Address, Daytime/Evening Phone Numbers, Reason for return, and whether you would like an exchange or refund.   There will not be an additional shipping charge for exchanges. We cannot accept responsibility for returned packages lost in shipping, and highly recommend insured US Mail or UPS so that you have a record of your return.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept the following forms of payment: Cash, Checks, Master Card, Visa and PayPal.  Orders over $100 may require verification of the CVV code on the credit card and we may contact you for additional information to verify the order before processing.   Privacy - Our store will not sell or distribute your information to any other company. It is solely for the use of our store.  When you register on this site, your username and password are collected, along with your email address.  This information will never be used for anything except to communicate with you about this site.  When it comes to your privacy, we don't share.  

Generally speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering our business activities, providing the products and services you requested as well as to process your payment, to monitor the use of the service, our marketing and promotional efforts and to improve our content and service offerings, customize our site's content, layout, services and for other lawful purposes. These uses help to improve our site and better tailor it to meet your needs.  Such information may be shared with others on an aggregate basis. Personally identifiable information or business information will not be shared with parties except as required by law.   

Occasionally, we may also use the information we collect to notify you about important changes to our Website, new services, and special offers we think you will find valuable. You may notify us at any time if you do not wish to receive these offers by emailing us at webmaster@pcidiot.com.

All submissions are revised and/or edited as we deem necessary. You also agree that any content being submitted by you is not known to be copyright protected by anyone in any medium.   

The following type of entries will not be included on http://www.pcidiot.com/:  Submissions that are racial, defamatory or sexist, related to bodily functions, unintelligible (no clear point), duplicate entry without added value, too idiotic to serve discernable purposes.

CUSTOMER SERVICE
